Is there anyone or any type of counselor who I can talk with about all those subjects? My doctor recommened I see a depression counselor awhile back, however I blew him off, because I think the depression is a result of the prior mentioned issues.

I live in Springfield MA, but don’t know if there is a specific type of Counselor I should see. And a 20 yr old Male.

    Thank You

I’ve been suffering depression for a good few years but It’s sky rocketed since the beginning of this year. Since the weekend I’ve felt absolutely hopeless, miserable and on the verge of tears most of the time. It’s only Tuesday and I can’t face another day of school, I’ve been getting suicidal thoughts at my worst points in the day and I NEVER used to believe I would ever even think of it. I don’t want to tell family, because I won’t kill myself, I just don’t like talking to them and putting my burden on them.

I’m supposed to be seeing a counsellor but my letter hasn’t come yet. Why am I so pathetic? What can I do to pick myself up?

My dad died when I was 4 and now I’m 16 and am suddenly feeling very depressed, dark, and suicidal. I don’t know if my dad’s death has anything to do with it. When I get in trouble at school even for something little, like being told stop talking or something, just makes me wanna jump off a bridge or something. Does anyone know what’s wrong with me or how to help? Please and thank you.
